Hi. This is Dr. Fab Mancini, and I’m so excited that you’re joining us because you know what?
This season is all about you.
It’s about the topics that you really want me to talk about.
The topics that can make a difference in your life right now.
This one actually comes by Facebook from Nikki in Colorado.
Nikki writes, “Dr. Fab, how do I become a great leader?”
You know, this is a great question because I’ve been studying leadership for almost 25 years and I still remember that one of the things that really impressed me is a book that I read about the life of Mother Teresa.
Mother Teresa was just an unassuming nun out there that was looking to serve others.
She recognized that there was the undesirables in the streets of Calcutta that had leprosy, that were homeless, that were just broken individuals, and she began to nurture them.
She inspired so many people that all of a sudden she became a saint.
I want to share with you three things of how you can become a leader today.
The first one is: Just be a leader.
Be a leader.
Be the one that always volunteers to lead other people.
Be the one that gets the initiatives to get out there and finish the products or get the work done, whatever needs to be done.
You be the leader.
The second thing is: Stop the excuses.
One of the things is that most of us puts excuses to ourselves of why we’re not becoming a leader.
“Oh, I don’t know if anybody will follow me. I don’t think if I can do that. Oh, I don’t have enough money. I don’t have enough fame. I don’t have enough power.”
Stop the excuses.
You’re a leader.
Be the leader.
The third thing is: Communicate clearly.
See, one of the things that I learned from leadership si that you have to have a clear communication to those that follow you, so make sure that you make your message very clear and simple to understand.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these three tips and I can’t wait to see you on the next show.
